In the cool of the day my Creator Yahweh comes and speaks to me. He gives me peace for my mind; joy for my heart and comfort for my soul. He reminds me of His promises for my life (Jer. 29:11) and His voice guides me (Ps. 119:105).
Christ grounded me
Gen. 1:1 – in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
For a moment in time
I was lost in sin
I had no desire for the divine
And His Light I would not let in
Who can hide from God,
Which heart is unsearchable?
He reached me!
As rebellious and confused as one can be
He touched me!
Father to child
He led me
To the backyard coconut tree
Creator and apprentice
My hands toiled in perfect service
Like my father from which man and nature abound
I too make beautiful things from the ground
I fell in love with backyard gardening unexpectedly. I cannot recall the exact moment when I decided to start gardening but it rescued me from a life of sin and mental torment. Jehovah speaks to me through nature. He places in my heart expressions of His love towards me in these cool early Jamaican mornings. Those mornings when all of creation appears to be asleep and I can only hear and feel my Elohim, the Lover of my soul and treasurer of my heart.
All my pieces are cataloged here in my first collection of writings titled – Expressions from under the coconut tree.
